Perfect Opposition for Brown

Every Star in I Ching Astrology has an element, namely Fire, Earth, Wood, Water or Metal. Each element is supported, drained or even clashed by another element. The element that clashes us keeps us on our toes, defensive and sharp. It is never regarded as a purely negative trait but actually a way that each Star can be kept in shape.

For example, Gordon Brown is the 4 Wind Star. The element is Wood. In the I Ching this element represents the dawn, initiation and plants themselves. When nature grows out of control it takes the hoe (Metal) to control it. Use the shears too much and you destroy the plant, just enough and you can both protect and encourage new growth.

Gordon Brown is lucky to have not one but two opposition leaders that are 7 Lake Stars (Metal). Nick Clegg and David Cameron. The universe seems to be working for Mr Brown!
